Itinerary

First day:

• Pick you up from your hotel in Cusco City (between 07:50 and 08:30 hours).
• Tour to Sacred Valley of the Incas: Pisac Indian Market, archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. (08:30 hrs -. 16:30 hrs.).
• Buffet lunch in Urubamba.
• Inca Rail train ride from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (From 16:36 hrs to 18. 09HR.).
• Overnight at selected hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Second day:

• Breakfast at hotel.
• 5:30 a.m. Bus to go up from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu.
• 6:00 a.m. View sunrise at Machu Picchu.
• Climb up to Huayna Picchu (3 hours without Guide) (optional) – (1st Group 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.) (2nd Group 10:00 -11: 00am).
• Guided tour in Machu Picchu (2 hours approximately).
• Bus to go down from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes.
• Lunch in Aguas Calientes (on your own)
• Train ride from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (19:00 hrs 20:40 hrs)
• Transfer from the train station to your hotel in Cusco.

Machupicchu tour in 2 days with Inca Rail map

Tour Description

First day: Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

On the morning of the first day of this tour we will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco city, between 07:50hrs and 08:30hrs. We drive over the mountain tops and down into the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas to our first stop, Pisac. This beautiful little town has picturesque houses, narrow, cobbled streets and its traditional Indian Market filled with colours and art. Then we will visit the archaeological complex of Pisac, which are divided in two areas: The urban and residential area, finishing with a visit an Inca cemetery.

We later drive through the valley to go arrive at Urubamba where we will have a delicious buffet lunch. After enjoying our lunch we will visit the incredible Ollantaytambo Fortress. At 16:30hrs, we are going to board the train to take us to Aguas Calientes town.

We arrive at the Aguas Calientes train station at approximately 18:09 hrs where our hotel staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to the hotel.

Second day: Tour to Machu Picchu.

Very early after having breakfast you are going to begin the 30 minute uphill bus journey to reach to the Historical Sanctuary of “Machu Picchu”. Arriving to Machu Picchu, you are going to pass the control, have your tickets checked at the gates, before beginning with our guided tour. You will be visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Intiwatana, the Royal Quarters, the Three Windows temple, for an average of two hours. Then you are going to have free time to explore the citadel by yourselves. In the afternoon you are going to take the train back to Ollantaytambo (depending on the train departure time), the return will be made through the same path way to reach the train station in Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo, we will be waiting for you to get back to your hotel in Cusco city.
