Itinerary

First day:

• Reception and transfer from Cusco airport to the hotel (in the morning).
• City tour in Cusco: The Cathedral, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (13:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.).
• Accommodation in the selected hotel in Cusco.

Second day:

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Inkas: Artisan Market of Pisac, archaeological center of Pisac and Ollantaytambo (8hrs – 16hrs).
• Buffet lunch included in Urubamba.
• Inca Rail Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (From 16:36 pm to 18:09 pm.
• Transfer from the Aguas Calientes station to the hotel.
• Accommodation at selected hotel in Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu.

Third day:

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• 5:30 am. Riding by bus to Machu Picchu.
• 6:00 am. View of the sunrise in Machu Picchu.
• Guided Tour in Machu Picchu (approximately 3 hours).
• Hike to Huaynapicchu (3 hours, without guide) (optional).
• Bus return to Aguas Calientes.
• Return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (From 19: 00hrs – 20:40hrs).

Fourth day:

Tour Description

First day: Welcome and City tour in Cusco:

Upon your arrival to our city of Cusco a representative of ours will be waiting for you, with a sign displaying your name, to transport you to the hotel of your choice. You will have free time to rest, adapt to the altitude and have a meal. Between 13pm and 13:30 pm we will be passing by your hotel to start the tour, we will visit: The Cathedral, colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the very fine work which the Incas performed on the stone. Continuing with the tour we will go to Sacsayhuamán, a fortress with a strategic location, offering an unrivaled view of the city, where the Inti Raymi or “Fiesta del Sol” is held every June 24, after which we will visit Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucará, archaeological complexes of religious character.

Second day: Tour in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

At the indicated time we will go to the hotel to pick you up to start the tour, along the way we will stop at the natural viewpoint of Taray, where the guide will give you an introduction about the Sacred Valley. The first place we visit is Pisaq, one of the most important archeological centers of the area. Then we will go to the artisan market where you can do some shopping for beautiful hand-made crafts, after we will continue with the trip to Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch in an exclusive restaurant. In the afternoon we will visit the Citadel of Ollantaytambo (the only city that maintains the base of the buildings from the great Inca architects.) In the afternoon we board the train to Aguas Calientes.

Third day: Tour to Machu Picchu “The lost city of the Incas” and trek to Huaynapicchu.

After breakfast at the hotel, along with the guide, we will have the wonderful opportunity to visit the mysteriously charming, Machu Picchu, Peru’s wonder of the world.
At 11am, we will hike to Huaynapicchu (the mountain from where you have a spectacular view of the Machupicchu valley) and at the appropriate time we will descend to the village of Aguas Calientes to have lunch. In the afternoon we will board the train to Ollantaytambo where our staff will be waiting for you at the train station to transfer you to your hotel.

Fourth day: Trekking to Rainbow Mountain.

Very early, at 4:30 am we will pick you up from your respective hotels in the city of Cusco, then transport you in a private tourist van to Pitumarca. The journey lasts for about 3 hours passing by the skirts of the snowy Mountain, Ausangate. Upon our arrival in Pitumarca we will stop to taste a delicious breakfast and the guide will give us a short introduction of the place before, we start our trek uphill towards the seven colors. The ascent lasts for 03 hours and during the trip we will have the opportunity to see a variety South American camelids, sheep, birds, lagoons, plateaus, streams and snowcapped mountain ranges. At approximately 10:00 am we will be arriving at our main destination, The Rainbow Mountain, a unique place that geography capriciously formed as if they had been painted by hand and brush. Here we will have time to take some of the best photographs and after an hour or so, we will get to descend approximately arriving at Quesoyoni at 3.00 and after a comforting lunch we will board our transport to return to the city of Cusco arriving at the average of the 19: 00 hrs.

Fifth day: Tour to Maras, Moray and Salineras.

After your breakfast we will pass by your hotel at around 08:45 hrs. We will transport you directly, Maras, a route with very typical, colorful, Peruvian landscapes. First we will visit Moray, considered an Inca agricultural research center where experiments were carried out at different heights. Its platforms produce a gradient of microclimates with the center of the concentric circular platforms having a higher temperature and gradually reducing outwards to lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different types of microclimates. It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only in the Urubamba Valley but also in different parts of the Tahuantinsuyo. Continuing with our trip we will visit the famous salt marshes of Maras known by some as “salt mines”. They are made up of about 3000 small wells, built on a side of the slope of the mountain of “Qaqawiñay”, which during the dry season are filled with “water” and every 3 days, salt water emanates from a natural spring, located at the top of the wells, so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it will gradually solidifies. The pools are owned by the locals.

Sixth day: Farewell

Two hours before the departure of your flight, we will pick you up from your hotel and then transport you to the airport, where we will say goodbye and end our services.
