Itinerary

First day:

• Reception and transfer from the Airport in Cusco to the hotel (in the morning).

Second day:

• Travel in a Van from Cusco – Hydroelectric (8:00 a.m. – 14:00 p.m.)
• Hidroelectric Walk – Aguas Calientes (3:00 PM – 18:00 PM)
• Accommodation in Basic Lodging in Aguas Calientes.

Third day:

• Breakfast in the hostel.
• 4:00 a.m. Hike to Machupicchu (1 Hour)
• 6:00 am. View of the sunrise in Machu Picchu.
• Guided Tour in Machu Picchu (approximately 3 hours).
• Hike to Aguas Calientes – Hydroelectric
• Trip in a van from Hydroelectric – Cusco
• Accommodation in the selected hotel in Cusco.

Fourth day:

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Trekking to the Rainbow Mountain aka ‘Seven Colors’ (04:30 hrs – 19:00 hrs)

Tour Description

First day: Welcome and City tour in Cusco

Upon your arrival to our city of Cusco a representative of ours will be waiting for you, with a sign displaying your name, to transport you to the hotel of your choice. You will have free time to rest, adapt to the altitude and have a meal. Between 13pm and 13:30 pm we will be passing by your hotel to start the tour, we will visit: The Cathedral, colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the very fine work which the Incas performed on the stone. Continuing with the tour we will go to Sacsayhuamán, a fortress with a strategic location, offering an unrivaled view of the city, where the Inti Raymi or “Fiesta del Sol” is held every June 24, after which we will visit Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucará, archaeological complexes of religious character.

Second day: Cusco – Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes

We will begin the second part of the tour at around 7:30 am by heading to OLLANTAYTAMBO, enjoying beautiful scenery of the area of the way. We will make a brief stop here of approximately 20 minutes before continuing our journey through a sinuous path towards HABRÁ MÁLAGA, located at a height of 4316 mos. At this point we will be able to observe some of the most wonderful landscapes of the Peruvian geography. Here we will stop for a few minutes to get some amazing pictures and strength our legs. After a short stop we will begin the descent into the jungle, passing through the different altitudinal zones that combine paradisiacal landscapes of majestic snowfall to the hot Inca jungle. Up to SANTA MARÍA, located at the height of 1575mts, to this point from the city of Cusco we find a path in perfect conditions, completely asphalted. Once we reach the town of Santa Maria we will drive along a path that is not asphalted but in good conditions (without asphalt), where we will continue to the town of SANTA TERESA located at the height of 1500mts. There will be a delicious lunch waiting for us there, with a variation of food to satisfy everyone. After our lunch we will continue driving for about 40 minutes to where we finally arrive at the hydroelectric station of Machupicchu (arrival approximately 3:00 p.m.)
Here we will wait for the Company Staff, to start the walk towards the town of AGUAS CALIENTES. This walk has a duration of approximately 2 Hours with 30 minutes, under the Inca forest where we can already begin to see the majestic citadel of Machupicchu, Huaynapicchu as well as a variation of flora and fauna. At approximately 5:45 p.m. we will be arriving at the village of Aguas Calientes, from there you will check in to the accommodation of your choose. You can enjoy your free time visiting the hot springs village or the thermo medicinal baths of the village. Later at 8:00 p.m. we will enjoy a delicious dinner at which a talk will be given by the guide who will be in charge of the guided tour of the citadel of Machupicchu.

Third day: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Santa Teresa – Cusco.

Very early we will go to the Sanctuary of Machupicchu, if you wish to carry out the walk which is the duration of 1 and a half hours you can or you can buy bus tickets to the sanctuary with a duration of 30 minutes. The group will meet at the main gates to Machupicchu between 6:00 am and 6:30 am, after registering our group we will enter and we will have a guided tour of two hours, visiting the most important places inside the Sanctuary of Machupicchu. After that you will have some free time to visit for other parts of the site. At approximately 12:00 pm the group will leave the Sanctuary of Machupicchu to be able to return to the village of Aguas Calientes and from there return walking to the hydroelectrica station where our staff will be waiting for you, to return to the city of Cusco by the same route. The journey will commence between the 14:30 hours to 15:00 hours, arriving at Cusco at 21:00 hours.

Fourth day: Trekking to Rainbow Mountain.

Very early, at 04:30 am we will pick you up from your respective hotel in the city of Cusco, before transport you on a private tourist mobility van to Pitumarca. The journey lasts for 3 hours passing by the skirts of snowy Ausangate. Upon our arrival to Pitumarca we will stop to taste a delicious breakfast and the guide will give us a short introduction of the place and we will start with our trek up hill. The ascent lasts for about 4 hours and during the trip we will have the opportunity to see a variety of South American camelids, sheep, birds, lagoons, plateaus, streams and snowcapped mountains. At approximately 11:00am we will be arriving at our main destination, Rainbow Mountain, a unique place that geography capriciously formed as if painted by hand. Here we will spend some time to take some amazing photographs and after an hour we will begin to descend for 3:30 hours approximately. We arrive at Quesiuno and after a comforting lunch we will board our transport to return to the city of Cusco arriving averagely at 19: 00 hrs.

Fifth Day: Farewell

Two hours before the departure of your flight, we will pick you up from your hotel and then transport you to the airport, where we will say goodbye and end our services.
