Tour description
First day: Welcome and City Tour in the city of the Kings.
On the day of your arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, our staff will be waiting there for you, displaying a sign with your name. They will transport you to your selected hotel and you will be given some free time to enjoy our gastronomy. In the afternoon we will start our tour by stopping in the smallest yet most beautiful, district of Lima, Barranco. Here we will enjoy the famous Bridge of Sighs, the Hermitage and the monument to Isabel Granada Larco “Chabuca Granda”.
We arrive to Miraflores and visit the Park of Love with a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a Pre Inca temple, and administrative center inhabited between the III and VIII centuries d.c. We will take a walk through the park of olive trees, which date back from the Viceroyalty, with an area of 23 hectares. After 6km trip, we will arrive at the historic center where you will appreciate the Palace of Justice, Paseo de los Heroes Navales, the French Palace and colonial buildings such as the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, The Municipal Palace, the Plaza San Martin, among others.
We visit the Museum of the Nation, where you can see a collection of gold from Peru and a selection of ceramics, goldsmiths and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures. Continuing our tour of the Church and Convent of San Francisco, highlights the visit to its underground crypts known as Catacombs and then return to the hotel.
Second day: Travel by bus from Lima to Ica, City tour in Ica, Vineyard and Oasis of Huacachina.:
Very early, our staff will transfer you to the bus terminal for your trip to Ica with the Cruise Service. Our staff will be waiting there for you to transfer you to the beginning of the tour, where you will visit the Plaza de Armas de Ica, the temple and Luren Mall. Later we will drive to the town of Cachiche, where formerly Bruges (witches) existed and you observe The Palm Tree of the 7 Heads, as well as a monument of one of the witches of Cachiche.
Later, to get the day going, we will head to a winery, where we will explain the elaboration of the main Iqueñas drinks and you will be given to taste of many different products, such as the national drink, Pisco as well as the wines. Finally we will go to the incredible desert Oasis of the Huacachina, which is located 5Km from some huge dunes which surround the lagoon. This allows visitors to practice one of the most fascinating sports in the area, Sand boarding. Later we will go to take our bus to Paracas.
Third day: Tour to the Ballestas Islands, Paracas Reserve and bus trip to Paracas – Nazca
Very early, our staff will transfer you to the bus terminal for your trip to Paracas with a Cruise service. Our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the port of Paracas, where you will start the tour to the Ballestas Islands passing by “El Candelabro” a giant image in the slope of a hill. Once you reach the Ballestas Islands, you will be able to see the different species of sea lions, seals, penguins and guano birds. After this tour we will head to Nazca, where we will spend the night.
Fourth day: Over flight on the Nazca Lines and travel by bus from Nazca to Arequipa.
After breakfast we will transfer you to Nazca aerodrome, before boarding the plane you will receive previous information about the amazing geoglyphs. The overflight in the Nazca Pampa has an average duration of 45 minutes. Many believe that these gigantic figures were made by extraterrestrials, among of which you can distinguish animals such as the monkey, spider, hummingbird, etc … After the flyby we will board the transportation to the White City of Arequipa. Here our staff will be waiting with a sign displaying your name to transfer you to your selected hotel.
Fifth day: City tour in the city of Arequipa.
In the morning you will be picked up from the hotel to being the tour in the “White City”. Firstly, we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a miniature city that hosted the Arequipeñas nuns for more than 400 years. We will then head for the Basilica Minor of Arequipa, located in the Plaza de Armas, with a neoclassical style structure. Then we move to the Yanahuara district to see the Portales de Yanahuara built in Sillar and finally we will visit one of the most attractive viewpoints of the city called “Carmen Alto”. From this place you have a spectacular view of the three tutelary volcanoes surrounding the stunning city of Arequipa.
Sixth day: Trip to the deepest Colca Canyon on the planet.
After breakfast our staff will pick you up from your hotel for your begin our trip to the Colca Canyon Valley, located north-east of the Arequipa region, a few hours north of the city. Here you can find the Colca River and the Colca Canyon. On the route you can see interesting natural landscapes as well as condors, llamas, alpacas, guanacos, vicuñas and vizcachas.
The origin of this valley is due to a fault of the terrestrial crust, eroded for thousands of years by the longest river of the Peruvian coast. The Colca River reaches depths of up to 3,400 meters on both slopes and over 200 kilometers in length.
Seventh day: Journey to the Cross of the Condor.
After breakfast we will go to Cruz del Cóndor. On the way to the Colca Valley there are 14 villages staggered along the valley, full of life and color. Along the Cruz del Condor road we continue to the edge of the great canyon. Experiences from previous visitors indicate that the panorama seen from here is “spectacular”, because below runs the Colca River at a depth of 1,200 meters while the walls reach heights of 3,100 meters. These peaks display perpetual ice and below, the condors fly majestically. Then we will return to Chivay to pick up the bags and from there make the trip to Puno, in the afternoon on a tourist bus.
Eighth day: Tour to Lake Titicaca, Uros Islands and Taquile.
After breakfast, at the hotel, you will be transferred to the port of Puno where you will board the boat. You will visit the Floating Islands of Uros, considered as artificial or floating islands, for a 45 minutes. We will continue with our visit to the Taquile Island of great scenic, ethnic, cultural and archaeological value and later that afternoon, we will take the bus to Cusco.
Ninth day: Welcome to Cusco City tour in Cusco in the afternoon.
You will have the morning free, to rest, to adapt to the altitude and enjoy your breakfast. Between 13pm and 13:30 pm we will be passing by your hotel to start the tour. We will visit: The Cathedral, colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate some of the finest work that the Incas performed on the stone. Continuing with the tour we will go to Sacsayhuamán, a fortress with a strategic location, offering an unrivaled view of the city, where the Inti Raymi or “Fiesta del Sol” is held every June 24. After we will continue to Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucará, archaeological complexes of religious character.
Tenth day: Tour in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas and Aguas Calientes.
At the indicated time we will pick you up from the hotel and then head across as paved road to the village of Pisac, located 32 km from the city of Cusco. Once we arrive here we will have free time to visit its colorful markets where you can purchase some of the most beautiful handmade crafts and souvenirs. We will continue our trip to Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then we will visit Ollantaytambo (the only city that maintains the urban layout made by the great Inka architects). In the afternoon we board the train to Aguas Calientes.
Eleventh day: Tour to Machu Picchu “The lost city of the Incas” and trek to Huaynapicchu.
After breakfast at the hotel, along with the guide we will have the wonderful opportunity to visit the mysteriously charming, considered as one of the 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. At 11am, we will hike to Huaynapicchu (the mountain from where you have the most spectacular view of the Machupicchu valley) and at the appropriate time we will begin our descent to the village of Aguas Calientes to have lunch. In the afternoon we will board the train to Ollantaytambo and our staff will be waiting for you at the train station to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 12: Flight from Cusco to Lima.
At the indicated time, our staff will be present at the hotel to transport them to the airport where they will board the plane to the city of Lima.
